Disney's Buy Four, Get Three Promo must have been a winner because Disney is once again extending this offer through March. Although you must book by the end of March, the offer is good for most weeks of the year.

Every 10 years in a small, picturesque village located in the Bavarian Alps, the people of Oberammergau reenact the Passion of Our Lord. This has been happening for generations in response to their village being saved from a plague. This Passion Play draws thousands from all over the world and it will be reenacted in 2010. Cruise Lines:

• NCL's promotion of up to $500 on board credit will be expiring on February 1.
• Princess Cruises experienced their biggest booking day in their history last week. Their balcony bonanza is paying dividends for them and that offer has been extended to February 28.
• All of the cruise lines are offering very good bargains to insure that they sail with full ships. If you are thinking of taking a cruise this year, there is no better time to book!

You may have read the reports that Las Vegas tourism is way down. I suspect that must be true because here are the deals that came over my computer this week:

• Excalibur: $36 per night
• Luxor: $55 per night
• New York, New York: $64 per night
• Monte Carlo: $55 per night

In addition all of the above come with VIP Access which piles on some perks.

Also, MGM is offering rooms for $55 per night.
These are all subject to date restrictions of course, but still.....

Cruise News
Carnival: Past guest discount plus free upgrade but must book by 1/2.
Carnival is also introducing a new program called Early Saver which will offer rates discounted as much as 25%. Those rates will be available 3-5 months prior to sailing.
Royal Caribbean: 4 night Western Caribbean out of Tampa on 1/29/09 starts at $209 per person.
Norwegian: Up to $500 shipboard credits.
Holland America: 7 day Western Caribbean out of Tampa $549.

All Inclusives:
Beaches, an upscale all-inclusive, is offering packages up to 60% off on their Turks and Caicos property.

NWA Vacations: Kids fly free to Hawaii!

Disney's Buy Four, Get Three Promotion will be ending on January 24. If you are thinking of going to Disney at all in '09, this is a great deal.

When we think of cruising we may sometimes hesitate because of the expense of even getting to the ports. A great alternative to those Florida ports is the Port of Baltimore. Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Norwegian sail from Baltimore to the Caribbean from late Spring through early Fall. Baltimore is just a one hour flight out of Detroit with very reasonable rates, or it is an easy one day drive. Also, the Inner Harbor is a great place to spend a night or two before your cruise.

Weekly Specials:

• Norwegian Cruise Line is offering up to $500 credit if you book a 2009 cruise this January for sailings through 2009 and 2010.
• Princess Cruises is offering seven day cruises during prime Spring Break weeks for as low as $499 per person

• Celebrity has a 4 night cruise sailing on January 22 for as low as $229 per person.
