Weekly Specials for Week of March 16, 2009

Hi Everyone,
I just returned from a Fuller Travel sponsored Girlfriend Getaway to Chicago where we enjoyed wonderful weather, made some great new friends, and experienced super shopping. Thanks to all of you who traveled with us. I hope you had a great time.

Cruise News:

Cruise passengers departing from US ports are now required to check in at least 90 minutes prior to their ship's scheduled departure time and anyone arriving later will likely be denied boarding. That's because cruise lines must submit the passenger manifest to the Department of Homeland Security for review at least 60 minutes prior to departure.

If you are flying to your departure port, consider the possibility of flight delays. Try to avoid booking the last flight that will make the scheduled departure time and if you are flying a long distance, consider arriving a day in advance. If you drive to your departure port, plan for rush hour, accidents or other situations that may snarl traffic on the way to the pier.

To be on the safe side, plan to arrive at the cruise pier no later than two full hours prior to the ship's scheduled departure time.

You've probably heard that Air Azul will begin operations in Lansing this June. Right now it looks as though they will offer flights to Baltimore and Newark at very low prices. Remember that both Baltimore and New York have cruise ports and are only a little over an hour away by air.

Celebrity is offering verandah cabins on their 4/5/09 Caribbean sailing for $799.

Royal Caribbean has a 5 nt. W. Caribbean next week for $359 and we're seeing 7 nt. W. Caribbean in the next two months for $649.

Remember that you must add taxes and fees to all the cruise fares.
